Recreational Gymnastics  1hr floor ,vault, beam and bars.
[ Ages 5 to 15 Years ]

Recreational Gymnastics within the Club Programme is an introduction to basic gymnastics skills for children. It enhances, improves and develops balance, coordination, motor skills and social and educational skills. All the various pieces of equipment used in the gym are explored and basic gymnastic skills are taught.

All children work towards British Gymnastics recognised Badges and Certificates of Achievement.
At this level an element of competition exists and children can be invited to compete in the Club competetions. This is not compulsory and children are free to continue to enjoy the activities offered purely as fun.
Although all children are treated and progress as individuals, some children inevitably display the correct physical composition, aptitude and commitment to be invited to join one of the Competitive Teams / Squads based within the Club. This, however, involves considerably more training and an increased level of commitment from both child and parent or guardian, and should not be entered into without careful consideration of all the elements involved.

VAULT

This is an exercise completed over a vaulting table 125 cm’s in height. A springboard is used to assist the gymnast. ASYMMETRIC BARS

This exercise is performed on two asymmetric bars. One set high and one low. The gymnast works between the two bars, swinging and turning. Skills are also performed where the gymnast releases and re-grasps the bar
